An insightful and moving biography about the man who celebrated Canada through his songs. Stompin’ Tom Connors is a Canadian legend — the foot-stompin’ patriot in the cowboy hat who sang about the country he loved. But there is much more to Tom Connors than “Bud the Spud” and “The Hockey Song.” This biography profiles an intelligent, stubborn, creative, cantankerous and thoughtful man who created a character that would be embraced by Canadians from coast to coast. This is the story of the man behind the “Stompin’ Tom” persona. This paperback edition includes an afterword with new details about Tom’s complex family life.
